Indeed. The one time I got to play a GM was truly unforgettable. GM Koltanowski came to play a simul with the Chessmaster team many years ago. My game was actually one of the longer ones, although of course I was lost before the game began.

In order to protect the innocent patzer that I am, I'll only post the ending position:

Did Kolty tell the incredibly funny story about promoting a pawn to a king while playing a guy on an airplane? Opponent promoted a pawn to a king giving him two kings, and Kolty said "you can't do that" and an argument ensued. Kolty finally relented since he was winning anyway. He then promoted one of his own pawns to an opponent king giving his opponent 3 kings. Opponent said "you can't do that". He said "show me where it says that in the rule book". The opponent relented. And on the next move Kolty checkmated all _three_ kings at once.

He was an incredible "character" to talk with...

I didn't remember their name, but had seen their profile in fide.org for the reason of the match versus rybka, some days ago I was watching that movie and I recognized their face before says the name in the movie. ( I see in my house and then I SAY: "...ehhh ¡ I know that GM, HE is playing now versus the best Engine of Chess ( for now)... ¡), One can say that I have recognized first Roman with rybka and later in the cinema. curious. chronologically speaking.
