Re: Public benchmarks
Do you have a direct link for where Victor Wang posted his fritz benchmark as I could post a question on his blog asking if he has a public link or knows other impressive results? With the 8 core systems such as the Intel V8 Octa or the 16 core system which Junior used from Intel becoming available, I'm sure Victor Wang's record could have been broken by now.

Sure.

That's the blog. It's mostly Chinese but the pictures speak for themselves. Awful lot of records
.
It was originally posted here along with other results:

Yes I believe it is possible to achieve higher scores. The problem is that the benchmark is still not very popular among serious benchers.
They prefer more intensive Benchmarks such as 3dmark ETC.. I believe that with more optimizations and higer clocks the record could easily be beaten(with Ln2 and different extreme cooling methods).
Maybe if Chessbase would create an Online result browser with ranking(Like 3dmark) it would be more popular and competitive.

Re: Public benchmarks
Does anyone know if there is a public system like the one the Junior team used unless they hitched two V8's together? See the V8 here

Its Tigerton. You can't hitch 2 V8's, they are already hitched quad cores.bedouin wrote:Does anyone know if there is a public system like the one the Junior team used unless they hitched two V8's together? See the V8 here
Tigerton(Core) finally replaces Tulsa(Netburst) in the 4P market and should be available soon. Very pricey though.

Re: Public benchmarks
It would be good to see some 12/16 cores on the fritz 9 benchmark page.
