Re: To The TCADMIN..Voter Requirements
Here's a new one for you. I'm an original member of CTF, along with
Fernando, Uncle Timmy, Bruce Moreland, and Ed Schroeder, yet for
some ridiculous set of rules, I could NOT vote. How's that for common
sense?
Oops, I've blown a whistle, now will someone come and arrest me?
That's the new America, so don't be surprised if it happens.
In addition, I have contributed funds to the forum for the past couple
of years, but have yet to sent a check this year. Maybe my payment
is overdue. Is that the problem?
My email to the TCAdmin, whoever that is, was not returned with an
answer. I don't know, maybe the founding members have absolutely
no special rights. If that is the case, then so much for tradition, respect,
and gratitude.
Anyway, I had hoped to come back to the forums, post once in awhile,
and enjoy the new programs, information and camaraderie
If things are as they seem, I shall quietly retire onto the golf course,
forget about CTF, and enjoy intercourse of a verbal nature. At my
age, there are not a lot of options.
Cheers,
Ron Norris, a founder member, whether the owner
wishes to acknowledge that or not.

If you stick around long enough you can vote next time around.cosmicnut wrote:Here's a new one for you. I'm an original member of CTF, along with

Re: To The TCADMIN..Voter Requirements
Hello Mr. Norris,
My apologies on behalf of TCAdmin and the voting administration, I am sorry that you could not place your vote.
While I don't know if the founding members should get any special preferences in the elections, I do think that serious members of such long standing should have been given the right to vote even if they have not posted for a while.
I am sure that TCAdmin would have replied to your e-mail, unless other circumstances have come up. I don't know if the forum software could have handled making an exception in its voting rules, I'm afraid all the things moderators and administrators would like to do with the program are limited often by most of them, and us, not being professional programmers. But maybe some of the ballots could have been handled by the TCAdmin in person after receiving a vote by e-mail. We certainly could have used some more voters!
Please do not stay away on account of any feelings that you may have that your opinions and contribution would not count here, they do, and I hope your old friends will welcome you back to the forum if you would like to visit them.
Sincerely,
Eelco de Groot

.........................were active in the last six months could vote..
meaning: a minimum of 1 post in the last six months.
..but why quibble, maybe we can propose new criteria..
