I think Zappa is classical champ, while Rybka is ICCC(aka FIDE) champ.

And here's a photo of Christopher celebrating with his mates at Wembley after they had beaten us in 1977.

But I have the question. The people from Convekta mentioned on the Rybka forum that this is 'MEXICO 2007 World Chess Championship'.
If that's correct, then Zappa is the new world champion 2007. Am I right?

Also did FIDE mentioned this match at all? They claimed that it was sanctioned by FIDE, but it doesn't look that way.

Hi Alex,

IMO they just mention it because the match is held
_at the FIDE MEXICO 2007 World Chess Championship(for Humans)'_.

BTW thanks for the quick response and fix for my bug report a while
ago :) I am very happy with Naum 2.2.

Cheers,

Alex,

Yes, Zappa is now the reigning world computer chess champion. Both Zappa and Rybka are about the same strength. They have different playing styles. Buy both and play each on quad core machines.

Enjoy,

Tim

If you mean computer world champion of 2007 then i don't think so, since other programs didn't participate.....

I don't know how much Anthony won, but the Zappa team won $10000.

100000 $ was the proposal of the Rybka team for a Rybka-Junior match.....
Ah yes, but wasn't Junior supposed to play in Mexico ?
