I won't be too surprised about Pro Deo 1.6, but it has also surprised me to see it doing so great on the 1st division of wbec:Tony Thomas wrote:Isnt that a beta? Toga and Hiarcs will certainly be the ones to beat.![]()

1). CM is perhaps the most famous chess program in the world, where does Hamsters suddenly come into the picture?!Alessandro Scotti wrote:Yes? You should see Hamsters!GenoM wrote:Very-very disappointing performance of CM 11...
2). Yes, and regarding cm11 being disapointing (or was it "very-very" disapointing
Unless, it is because of bugs, which will be fixed by patch, and/or that the new features of cm11 are SO flabergasting!

That was rather mean spirited of you, S. An author puts his heart, soul and many, many hours of hard work into his creation, so therefore it is natural to be dissapointed when the results are so dismal and to vent such dissapointment. But, as far as Hamsters claim to fame is concerned you, yourself hit upon the reason that many of us more carefully decerning people have taken notice of, and that is the suddenness of Hamsters rise in strength. Have you fooled around with the new Hamsters 6 to get a feel about what the engine has to offer? One of the reasons that I test my engine against Hamsters is because the games are more exciting than against many other engines. OBTW, the Hamsters 6 results are not dismal at all!
If you are on a sidewalk and the covid goes beep beep
Just step aside or you might have a bit of heat
Covid covid runs through the town all day
Can the people ever change their ways
Sherwin the covid's after you
Sherwin if it catches you you're through

Alessandro was disappointed with the performance of Hamsters 0.5 which was the original starter. It was coming bottom easily.Michael Sherwin wrote:S.Taylor wrote:1). However, Hamsters 0.6 is performing more strongly.
I agree that Alessandro deserves a lot of kudos for the rapid progress he is making with Hamsters.
All those who know their amateur engines should recognise and acknowledge this.
