Dear engine programmer,
dear Daniel,

this is another subject - I will compare it with the relation between an artist and e.g. a theatre critic.

Perhaps one can see an engine test also in a positiv way: You can make you a new goal - and when you see you reached it - you can be proud and earn the applause of the people. I mean - if you have no goal, why work on something?

On the other hand I see you are a real artist - you did also a lot of work for the answer - and you gave me the answer I´v deserved. Congrats!

That´s what I would tell you on that walk.

You have a hobby and you surely love it - and so do I. And therefore I will continue doing it, working hard and carefully to be always fair - that´s the way to sleep well at night. And as it is my hobby - I am testing the engine I like. Last week for instance I liked to make some games with an engine called Homer :) .
Luckily I am not alone - so the most engines are tested...

So I wish you a new goal - and after the hard work a lot of applause!

Best
Werner

The link can be found at the schachwerkstatt forum. I prefer not talk about the engine names though.
