I trust you that it shows all that- but i need it in the best of worlds to show it during the game while it is playing and i am watching the game, but if not, at least to show it in the pgns that i turn in to CCRL. From Chessbase as UCI engine- as 4.7a does with no problem.

I really do love your program, and have been anxious for an upgrade for a long time. But those of us running 4.7a in chessbase as UCI have no problem. The pgns we turn in reflect the depth, kns and lines. But with 5.1 all the pgns show is the move it made, and a depth of 1. Our stat guys are going to want to see more than that. So too is anyone who downloads the pgns. for their benefit. Not trying to be difficult here.

Hi Lance,
may I have one more wish for next version?

I would like to see the main pv saved in pgn, at least not only move and time but also depht and evaluation.
Thanks
Werner

Without wishing to sound ungrateful, I agree with both Werner's and George's comments.
Part of the fun of using a chess engine is being able to watch it's thinking process and depth.
Neither is shown under Chessbase GUIs. Haven't tried Shredder or Arena GUIs yet, but I'm picking that nothing is shown there either.
Is there a simple fix that you could implement Lance?

Regards, Graham.

Thinking lines are shown under Arena, only problem is that it is shown right after the move is made, so it doesnt get saved to the .pgn. I have seen similar behaviour by Ktulu, it only shows a score and the line if it reach a certain depth.

Hi Lance and thank you for the new version. I usually play comp vs comp on 2 computers with ponder on. Does the 5.1c version ponder?
I'm in arena and it is hard to tell (I have ponder on). In fact until I read this thread I thought Thinker was not working since I never waited long enough to see it make a move (reminds me of my brother in law so I commend you on its human like play): ).

Sorry, I just checked windows task manager and it does ponder.
Anyway, does the 64-bit version calculate faster than the 32-bit?

Yes. Because Thinker uses bitboards, it benefits well from 64-bit machines.
