I personally think the widespread fixation on raw strength and Elo numbers is quite unhealthy. If Elo numbers is the single or the most important factor for deciding which programs you are interested in, you would probably be happier with another hobby.

Exactly my point, I can no longer find happiness in just chasing numbers, for all I care Glaurung on a quad is strong enough to beat any human in decent amount of games.

PS: I powerful study Thinker ! Great engine !
1)I have always been interested in weaker engines, I have had most of these engines at one point or another. I just lost them when the computer crashed and the places that I took it to cleaned the hard drive.
2) My avatar is the same, just smaller...
3) Same to you..

ArmoredGuns wrote:Hi Tony,

I have all of them, however, I don't know if they are the latest version, since their version number isn't displayed in the console.

I can only confirm Big Book and Celes' version numbers.

I'll send them to you in a zip file.

Also, do you happen to have Crux 0.5m and Pentagon 1.3?
I no longer have Crux or Pentagon. I wil have them in about 6 months..I know one person who has pretty much every engine, Tony Mokonen at the winboard forum or Oliver Deville.
I have all of them of course :)

Crux and Trynyty are a big pain, but I'll send them to you anyway

I have Pentagon 1.2 (the 1.3 one was broken).

The Pentagon is a fine engine and it's not weak at all by the way....
