Haha, participating in a tournament was a great experience for me.. I would have never noticed those problems with Romi if it hadnt been for the longer time control + ponder on combo..Since Mike added Kibitzing, I wont be using any other format books for Romi, that is if I am allowed to operate Romi.

I do not remember the exact date, but the last time you asked someone answered it..I am not really planning to operate Romi, unless Romi cant get a better operator..

When you think that you have made a version that is significantly better (about 10 points) please send it my way..I guess you should focus more on Romi's evil version (Glaurangka) if you want to make fast improvements. I think you have tapped out almost as much as you can from the current design, and the only way to go is the rewrite route..Why would you put needles through your flesh when you have goat to experiment with?? I dont think that Zct is stronger than Romi on a single processor, I can suggest one thing to kick ZCT's arse, add some passed pawn knowledge. Out of the last four games (ZCT leading 2.5-1.5) Two of the games ZCT won were decided by passed pawns. I think that Oxygen is currently almost as strong as Romi, with one of the best books I have ever seen..Oxygen does have a positive score against Romi, but considering that I am using a hardware that's more than 4 times slower, that isnt really surprising.

I think you may have misunderstood my reference.
When Romi came out with its own book learning method, the Romi camp
was tallking about how superior it was and that the rest of the authors
should switch to it. So, it was interesting to see all the book problems
because they were using something other than Romi's book system.

My statement was by no means a reflection upon your book making efforts.

was tallking about how superior it was and that the rest of the authors
should switch to it. So, it was interesting to see all the book problems
because they were using something other than Romi's book system.

My statement was by no means a reflection upon your book making efforts.

The problems fall on me, because I have never been able to solve the pondering problems and the interference of pondering with the book code.

RomiChess benifits the most from it's learning abilities in a tournament with long time controls playing a big number of opponents like the one I run for my rating list....
Anyway,it was about time to update the opening book,but Michael is the person to build it as Tony with his two hands busy with the goat will bust the whole process
