You're the one who deserves the credit Aart. Without engine authors like yourself, computer chess would be much the poorer.abik wrote:Thanks Graham, I am truly honored!Graham Banks wrote: BikJump is currently playing in its first CCRL tourney

Re: fun UCI tournament started
Below are the results of the fun UCI tournament (with guest stars Fritz and Turing). Congrats to Twisted Logic for being the overwhelming champion of the UCIs. Also many thanks to the other engine authors for an interesting tournament with very few issues (only two engine crashes, I noticed one missed mate in one). I will post the games tonight.
This, for now at least, ends my short career as tournament master, since I am going back to use my spare time on BikJump v2.0 (replacing mailbox with bitboards). Overall, this experience made me appreciate all our esteemed tournament masters even more, as I found hosting even this simple tournament a lot more tricky than it may seem (testing, getting all parameters right, posting the results etc.). So, a big "thank you" to all who host real tournaments!

Thank you, Aart.
Yes, testing is difficult, and the Elo must not be spread too much. But it was fun anyway.

Re: fun UCI tournament started
Thanks for running the tourney Aart! I'm comfortable with 3rd and 4th place.
I will have to look at the game where .2447 lost to Turing...
Perhaps one of the crashes you speak of?

All,
I posted all the games at: http://www.aartbik.com/BikFunTour.pgn
Zach,
Yes, ZCT could have scored higher, but it was hanging at a few mate-in-ones (same issue we saw during test tournament). Hope you can find the issue and come out even stronger next time!
