Ah, I'm not absolutely certain, but I've heard reports about Glaurung 1.2.1's aggressiveness, supposedly it's more aggressive than Glaurung 2.1.

For sure Glaurung 1.2.1 was a real gem in terms of customization. It had parameters for aggressiveness as you mention, but also for space and development that are rare for a engine of that level (Pro Deo has some good features in this kind too).

Yes, but increasing the mobility, aggressiveness and/or attractiveness of ProDeo made it a lot weaker. I had to made it play against weaker opposition because otherwise the added playing style leaded to "suicide."Marc MP wrote:Pro Deo has some good features in this kind too

I agree with that. I didn't test it carefully though, but it seemed to me that those features are detrimental in engine matches as you mention.
