Although I find many posts offensive, and off topic, I do not flag them because I know that they will be deleted. I don't want that.

I think it's better to have a strike system, and issue warnings and then strikes and finally temporary bans for continued abuse. Deleting posts confuses the membership about both what's allowed, and what's going on. (and who did it)

I'm not blaming the mods for any action in particular, and I also know they are simply adhering to policy. But I do think it's important for most of what mods do to be out in the open, and subject to scrutiny.
