Milov is 2700+, So...without any such handicap, Rybka would surely play at >3200.
A pawn isn't worth anywhere near 500 points.
Add Pawn + Opening book + Time + Hardware.

Definitely worth 500 elo.
It has an opening book for these positons, it has the hardware and plenty of time.

It's not even 3000. Milov played both classical games bad. Still he got one draw.

Larry Kaufman admitted that Rybka isn't close to 3200 and that the rating is probably around 3100.

A pawn isn't worth anywhere near 500 points.
It is dependent on the playing strength of the players.
The value of the pawn is higher when the players are stronger.

I disagree about your evaluation of milov's games.

Then all the ratings list should have a 3100 as a maximum cut off, in order to be nearly equivalent to human FIDE.

Near 3300 in some lists would seem exaggerated and meaningless, Imo.

Mmmmmm, so why do all of you guys are surprised? Milov has a lot of time to check Rybka weekaness playing with this stupid odds ...let me 1 or 2 months to prepare for a handicap match and surley I can beat Rybka too, and I´m just a patzer < 2000 elo, so why congrats Milov????
I dont see reasons to still schedule this Man-Machine matchs ,is a waste of time, what does exactly wanted prove larry in this match? even the Rybka book for this match was wrong.. If Rybka is far better than Milov in tactics why dont put in the book wild´s positions??? :? I just hope that Hydra team bring to the light its news monsters and we will see a real fight!!!

At last someone to write something which is logicaly presented....
The odd chess is more stupid than a piece of potato and proves nothing at all....remove your rook and I'll remove my knight....chess at a top level my @ss....
It's about time for the top GMs to play like real men against the machine, what would they lose :!: :?:
They take the money never the less,so what :!: :?:
And I don't buy this crap that their reputation will be ruined, they have already lost the war with the machines....
We are already outcalculated regards,

Maybe you don't understand how bad the second endgame really was for white. I do...
