Re: World Chess Championship (Game 5)
Unfortunately for Anand, he too seems to be out of his opening preparation. But, this game looks like a no-draw game as of now. Attack has already begun.

Re: World Chess Championship (Game 5)
I don't know, perhaps he is trying to confuse Kramnik once more, this time using different variation. I think Kramnik would have prepared all the variations closely related to opening used in the game 3.Anil wrote:+/- few seconds ... else it is real time, I suppose.
The start was almost similar to game 3 (till Rg8 was played by Anand). But, this time Anand wants to exchange the pieces fast (dark squared bishop). Is he going for the draw or is this some deep thought out plan
Perhaps Anand should have tried some other variation instead... or he knows the scope of this opening a great deal...

Re: World Chess Championship (Game 5)
Anand has choosen a sharp line in the Slavian Defence,he will push for a win here
Just look at the two aggressive bishops and the rook positioned on the g8 square....

This opening theme reminds me of e4 e5, d4 cxd, c3 dxc, Bc4 cxb2, Bxb2...Dr.Wael Deeb wrote:Anand has choosen a sharp line in the Slavian Defence,he will push for a win here

Looks like this game will also pose some time trouble to both the Super GMs.
