It would be interesting to see if Richard Lang has been able to port all the functions that the PPC version has to the iPhone.
The current trend with iPhone applications is to offer the app at a real bargain price @ $10 and let the volume of sales create the profit.
I already own a good PPC loaded with various chess applications, but ever since getting PoketFritz3 I have found I no-longer use the others such as Pocketfritz2,Pocketgrandmaster,Palm Hiarcs under StyleTap,Chess Genius,Scid.
But I own an ipod touch and so-far have resisted any of the current apps since they are designed for the hobby player who just wants to kill some time on the train, or bus etc.But ChessGenius could be an exception, will have to wait and see.

Re: ChessGenius for the iPhone
I have an HP iPaq 314 (it's the 300 in the US and 316 in eastern europe) on my Christmas list. Very good value for money (£100 excl VAT) and should be easy to unlock to load on PocketFritz/PocketGrandmaster/Tomtom 7 and anything else that runs on Windows CE 5. Not that I need a SatNav, but that will be good for a back-up and it was the cheapest PDA I could find that would run a decent chess program.
Roll on Christmas
