If you read Fernado's post carefully you will see he says '' It is time for you, english speaking people, to learn one or two extra languages,''
He is NOT saying Spanish in particular. He IS saying it could be any language.

Do you see? Jaimes
He is implying Spanish.
He would like to see English-speaking people learn that language that would permit them to understand a particular interview (given in Spanish).

Matthias.
No. He is not implying the language should be Spanish. He says quite clearly ''two extra languages'' Could be French or German.Or French & German.

Perhaps this is a case for a native English speaker to comment.

Of course not. As jame understood very well, I did not mean specifically spanish. Nor I intend for you guys to study spanish to read my interviews. I do not care. I was asked about it.

Sorry, but I have no patience neither the time for a translation. It is time for you, english speaking people, to learn one or two extra languages, as everybody with some education does everywhere in the world.

What a nuisance! this language business. Well, yes, I learned hebrew quite well. I am ment to know yiddish much better, (before worrying about any other language). I once tried to learn Russian, for many reasons.
But chilean? ah, for Fern!

Good question - those of us who contributed ideas for the interview when requested would like to know!
Human chess is partly about tactics and strategy, but mostly about memory
