Does the fact, that it is solved, mean that YOU (or any usual checkers program) would play perfectly?
My point:
I think a lot of people have tendency to lose motivation when they happen to find that the game is "solved" by a computer. It's finished. They move on to other games that are more challenging.
I see your point, but what percentage of the world population can beat the free available checker games like Cake, or WCC.
PS: I feel that it should be the contrary if most people can NOT beat the mojority of the free chess programs available, then it should give then a motivation to see it they can try to beat the free available checker programs
