Yes - a theory that seems to be growing in popularity. Certainly not to be pooh-poohed.
(and of course to all authors of legitimate engines, no matter how strong).
We were almost forgotten lately.
The programmers of engines of all strengths deserve our support and gratitude. Don't ever feel discouraged.
It seems "strength" has surpassed all else in interest.
I would think for most players just having different engines that play unique styles would be more interesting to study. Some of the "lesser" engines are more colorful
With open source we will reach a time in the future where all top engines will play the same
Besides most engines beat %99.9 percent of us anyway. Can't let all the science ruin the "art"
