Could you translate that into English, please ... Assuming it is Turkish, Babylon translates it into

Code: Select all

Si to become beautiful am day that time and a male shady brother.
which does not look like regular English for my eyes :?:

Sven
I lived in Turkey for a couple years. My Turkish is terrible, but it was a pale attempt at:
"Have a nice day then, my dear brother."
Dear Dann,

Translation of "Have a nice day then, my dear brother." could well be:

Günün güzel olsun, şeker kardeşim.

Not strict or word by word translation.

After reading Haiti Quake news, that is not possible after all.

Best,

Well i guess this thread is serving as an annoucemt for those declining their nominations

a few weeks ago i posted my personal reasons for not wanting to run for a third consecutive term and after some further thought i have to say i basically feel the same way and so i decline the nomination

the board is at a cross roads with members having very different views as to how it should move forward in the future

i have often said that the election will put the these important issues into the hands of the members who will exercise their vote to elect moderators who most closely reflect their opinions and perspectives
however, in order to do that we need a selection of candidates to accept their nominations who represent different viewpoints
the members cannot express their preference if only 2-3 members all with the same mindset are in the running
the members will vote ..but right now the future of the board is in the hands of the dozen or so good men and true ..the nominees.. to come forward and give the membership a choice

if you have not yet accepted your nomination and you are still undecided then its time to stand up for what you believe in

i thank all those that voted for me in the past and i thank those that have taken the time to nominate me now

my prior post giving my reasons for declining:

Best Regards
Steve

Even though I've given you a hard time recently (and you're right in saying I probably went a bit too far at times), I do appreciate that you've tried to do what you've thought is best during your time as a mod.
Now go over to the tourney subforum and vote for your move against Daydreamer!

Cheers,
Graham.

Its a shame how you bite away the best characters we have. Go away!

No, wait, come back, we need your mild dictatorship in lack of the better who left. Here is my left foot, you can amputate it, but then leave me in peace.  :D :P

Are you going to run Rolf. You got my vote.
It will be hard to beat Graham but i think you got a shot at it.
The other two who will win hands down and are Mods now
has it in the bag.

Very best to you and good luck

Rolf,

Please can you let the voters know if you are accepting your nomination or not?

Thanks,

Read here Jeremy Bernstein campaign model for the mod election. Seems like an open minded, reasonable fella to me...
