An idea for Vas about releasing rybka4 mp

Vas can decide not to release one version of rybka4 mp but to release 100 different personalities.

People will have to pay 100$ to buy one personality without knowing if it is the strongest personality or not(and they will only know that it is at least 50 elo stronger than rybka3 mp).

People who are interested to find out what is the best engine will need to buy 100 different personalities of rybka and do a lot of testing(and buying 100 different personalities means that Vas get 10,000$)

It may stop the claims of the people who claim that Vas does not sell the best engine because even if some ubknown people release something that beat Rybka4 version 7 then it is not a proof that it beats rybka4 version 17.

Even if somebody buy 100 different personalities then it is going to take a lot of time to find the best personality and at that time Vas may release 100 different personalities of rybka5 so again people will not be able to be sure that Vas does not sell the best engine.

I think you will never see a full strength Rybka 4, or any new iteration of Rybka ... at least not as a standalone product. Of course it will still be the strongest chess engine you can put on your computer and will have an edge over anything out there, including engines cloned from R3. But good innovative code will have to be secure, and the only reasonable way to do that is by putting it on hardware as a card or something similar. Of course there will be the remote version, but really that is catering to a professional user and tournament chess player that hardly any of us here are.

That actually might not be so bad, as with hardware you can really push the performance boundaries. So maybe we will see another dramatic push along ELO lines simply due to increased performance of hardware.
