1) "vi" (UNIX text editor)
2) MS Excel
3) my eyes (to identify different suggested moves)
Most work was manual editing. I would be glad if there were some software for that instead, so you probably can't expect this to be done again until someone has written a program for it. Maybe something similar does already exist, I don't know.
