I am not aware someone tried multi-cut in crafty, but Implementation of Multi-ProbCut in Chess (pdf) by Albert Xin Jiang.Mincho Georgiev wrote:Thanks, I'm glad to know that I'm not alone on this. How about Multi-cut. I couldn't get nothing from it either. I remember, somebody tried it with Crafty couple of years ago (I cannot recall who it was though, sorry), do you know something about the results. I may still have the code, I think.

I tried this with Crafty myself. The memory is fuzzy about that, but I seem to recall that I concluded that NM was not a good mix with MC. However, this was before we started with the super-accurate testing, so I do not recall any specifics about whether it hurt, or just didn't help...Mincho Georgiev wrote:Thanks, I'm glad to know that I'm not alone on this. Thanks! And little off-topic, but how about FH reductions. I'm starting to sound like one-song juke-box, but that's another failure of mine.bob wrote:I tried this with Crafty myself. Not tested by me, yet. At the moment, my intent is to either beat SE into submission so that it works, or leave enough notes for myself that I won't revisit this for several years.Mincho Georgiev wrote:Thanks!
