I don't understand. What kind of support does the UI need for GaviotaTB's when it's an engine function? Gaviota TB's aren't "officially" supported by Aquarium but they still work (with hit count too) if the UCI options are configured. The only thing that's missing is a global Gaviota TB path/has setting similar to the global settings for Nalimov.
In general, I agree with you. Chessbase has a habit of charging a lot of money for an upgrade that's essentially cosmetic in nature. I don't need any more sizzle meters.

Yes they are going to release version 11 of ChessBase. Be prepared to read "independent" reviews by Walter Eigenman, Michael Enderle and Harvey Williamson telling you how great it is. But do you think you should pay 149 Euros to be allowed to be a beta tester ? Those guys recieve it for free but are not able to spot any bugs. I would say go with SCID and Arena and watch ChessBase copying features like UCI support, chess960 support, ... just wait for the next Arena and watch them introducing the same features and claiming they were the first to have it.

Hi Miky !
I like you ! A true warrior ! Or better : a samurai !
To fight simultaneous with Arena bugs , Walter , Michael , Harvey , a GmBH (ChessBase)....and much more.....needs a true chessmate Bushido ! !!! !
According to our information they sell less and less. People are not prepared to buy their stuff anymore and play betatester for 179,90 Euros. Yep it also raised in price. More bugs for more money.
