Even if the first official version will not be stronger than than TSCP I would gladly test it against engines not stronger than 2050, e.g. Micro-Max, Rival, Smash, Bam-Bam, Heracles, Warrior, Clueless, Roce, Dabbaba, Beaches, Chenard, Adamant, TSCP.
I always welcome engines at that end of the list and I am sure a lot of engine authors will welcome your engines as a new challenge.
Thanks, that's what I'm hoping with this release of my engine! Weak chess programs, near the bottom of the ranking, are very usefull to help monitoring the progress of new engines. So I think it's a good idea to release early, even if there is still a lot of stuff to improve.
The more games my engine will play and the more bugs I will be able to catch and correct. And if it become stronger in the future releases it will be nice to see where I started. But at the moment this is not important, learning how to write a decent chess program is very interesting and also a lot of fun and I'm focusing on that!
