The top engine will gain automatic promotion and the bottom engine will gain automatic relegation. The second top engine and the second bottom engine might have to play grading matches to determine which division they will play in for the next series.

Besides it was not a good tournament for RQ (and I was not expecting something different playing in the 2th division ) I saw some interesting games played by RQ.

Thanks for the nice tournament Graham.
Thanks Ben-Hur,
as things turned out, RedQueen only salvaged its spot in this division with a late surge. It was a close battle throughout amongst RedQueen, Amyan and Rotor to avoid the last two spots.
I find a lot of interesting games in all of the divisions, from Division 1 right down to Division 7. If members took a look, they might be surprised by the quality of most games.

Cheers,

Yes of course there are a lot of great games. But I mostly look into RQ's games. When I say it was not a good tournament for RQ it is solely based on the final standings perspective. I am not saying anything about the quality of the tournament itself (which I think that was great), regardless if it could do better or not (which I think the relegation would be completely normal for RQ).
Also Deuterium and Arasan are only around 1 point ahead of RQ. It was a very tough fight as you can see.

It's good to see that Jon has made some hard earned progress with Arasan. This new version is a definite improvement.
I didn't take your comments as implying anything about the quality of the games. Sorry if my comments came across as doing so.
Already looking forward to RedQueen's next tourney! Thanks for your efforts.

No... _I_ am looking forward to RQ's next tourney.
I gonna release version 1.0 (with SMP support) pretty soon. And around 30 Elo points better than RQ 0.9.5 (single core).
