I feel Houdini is already a good enough achievement of computerchess. Rybka 4.1, not quite.

Anything more, i will believe, if and when it clearly shows Houdini to be playing inferior chess. But i feel that for my own interest in chess, Houdini 2 is already a worthy companion.

(It took me many years to feel some satisfaction from a program)

The "life beyond Houdini" should now be, what _I_ can gain from it.

Probably a bad choice for a tournament name. I was referring to the new versions of Gaviota and Cheng hopefully being a threat to the other engines in the field. :)

But i appologise if misunderstood.
(The thing which made me open this whole thread, was its heading "new threat", but i couldn't work out which engine was being refered to, as THE new ultimate top engine. [oh, and i wish a lot of success to absolute original engines!!!]).
