Any thoughts.
Thanks in advance,

Hello Gerald. I guess you're using the 32 bits version? I've been told today that it crashes, sadly. I'll fix it as soon as I can. Until then, only the 64 bits version is usable.
I do all the development in a 64bits environment, so the 32bits wasn't tested before release.
Sorry for the inconvenience. :(

Hi Julien !

Thank you a lot for this last release of Pascal Predateur 2.2 !

Avira Premium 2012 shows Predateur 2.2 32 bit .exe like a trojan. A false positive , of course ! Just put this exe on the exclusion list until Avira will solve this problem in the search machine.

That's because Julien used MPress to compress the executables. Some stupid AVs even mark UPX-compressed executables as Trojans.

Exactly :) The Free Pascal compiler produces big exes, so I strip them from their symbols and shrunk them before release.

64-bit version under test now (CCRL 40/40). It takes a few days.

Thanks Julien!

Thanks Julien!
ADDENDUM: I just found (and fixed) the bug that made the 32 bits version crash. So I will soon (later today or tomorrow) release a 2.2.1 version. As the fix might impact the strength of both the 32 and 64 bits version (it's a small fix, but you never know if it will have major influence on the global strength...), maybe you could pause the tests until version 2.2.1 is released?

The bug was related to the new transposition tables system I implemented in this new release: a multi-buckets one (something I by the way forgot to mention in the releases notes). And when you fix a bug in the transposition tables, it often impacts the strength of the engine.

Sure, I'll wait to 2.1.1

Julien, by the moment I will finish the 2.2 Predateur games (there are a few games left) and I'll be happy to test new versions in the near future.
Keep the good work.

Cheers.
