If you want to draw religious conclusions it is more like the third confession, the Calvinism.

And this is more a describtion what is happening right now:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%BCnster_Rebellion

The article in the german wikipedia is better as it has much more details:

http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/T%C3%A4ufe ... C3%BCnster

I urge everyone who can to read the german article, some parallels* are eye-catching!

*"Some"!, do not stretch the picture too far, please :-)

Please omit the whole long quotation so we can find the single line you contributed.

I don't quite get what you mean. I thought it explained itself- tho I admit I am not known for brevity.

Anyway, ICGA is garbage and the report is the junk thrown on top.

(Think like a green bean casserole with onion bits on top)

Anyway- what is with the kns per second of Alfil 11 and 12? I don't believe they hide the true count- doesn't it have to be too slow to ever compete.

Has Rajlich even responded to any of this on any of the forums?
Rather then let the Rybka Party Faithful(Moderators, friends,,Aunts and Uncles ..long term posters,,etcetc) speak for him.. you would think by now..certainly now that Playchess has taken up the issue..he would speak out and try to defend himself or dispute the ICGA decision
if not..IMHO his total silence on the forums speaks volumes
either he cant defend himself or he simply could care less
im guessing its probably both
i cant imagine any other programmer remaining silent for so long..
im sorry it's way past due that he himself speak out
Muted Regards

From now on, we are divided into the "anti Rybka / pro ICGA" persuasion and in the "pro Rybka / anti ICGA" persuasion (in addition to the third group which doesn't care for either, and I suspect that is the biggest  ).

Maybe we should create a sub forum for personal attacks, in fighting, or whatever you want to call it as these hot topics always seem to go this way. Oh and yes this Sub forum should be Hidden and for members only! :D
How can any support someone taking Gnu code, change a bit and sell it?
Is not about "rybka / anti rybka", is about honest / dishonest

IGCA has rules. Someone break the rules, get punished. Thats is a good principle.
Much better than the principles of rybka ..."author"? rybka.."programmer"?

Steve,

The big question is, provided Vas will speak right now, would that be of any help? Or will he be teared down into pieces ?

Bottom line, will he receive a listening ear ?

There has been a 5-6 year anti-Rybka campaign especially here at this forum and that has left its traces in the minds of many.

Never mind about Alfil. It was all a matter of semantics- it WAS using the max- or COULD use the max.

The above also is my take on this situation.

The ICGA gave Rajlich ample opportunity to present a defense, but none from him was forthcoming. Instead, the honest investigators are plagued by harpy-like, ad hominem attacks -- the most vociferous of which come from the least technically qualified.

Even at this very late date, I believe that if Rajlich were to admit to obvious and unauthorized copying, then he could get his lifetime ICGA ban lessened to a few years at most. But a continued stubbornness accompanied by a failure to disavow his cacophonous public defenders means that the ICGA ban will follow him to his grave.

As long as there is no court case his program is legal to sell.
Chess Base and Vas will sell the program as long as it makes money.
That's the bottom line.

Best,
Gerold.
