I am certain that a 4/10 result against Komodo 4 can not be claimed to be "strange", even if Vitruvius is actually stronger than Komodo 4. And posting games played by others where Vitruvius beats or draws Komodo 4 proves nothing.Carotino wrote:This result is strange ... Are you sure you have correctly set the parameters of the engine?

let's be honest:
Vitruvius is renamed Deep Saros,
(which = IvanHoe with very few changes..)
http://talkchess.com/forum/viewtopic.ph ... t&start=10
along with months of propaganda and a new slick web site....
fool rush in where...
(oh never mind!)

and there's much more...
but i'm not a sadist.
but. if you are in fact a sadist,
(personally i have no problem with that),
please test yourself, or see Vitruvius vs Houdini or Komodo or Robbolito, etc. etc.
results on Immortal...
(yes it's rather embarassing!...especially considering that it started with IvanHoe?)
but ok, lets pay him...it now plays like a human, and that ain't easy!!
(other than making some trivial changes in evaluation)
or is this 'genius', ala Vas?

i leave it to the CCRL/CEGT/IPON to determine!
history has proven that they are incredibly accurate with their asessments of engine worth and legitimacy!
for ex: Rybka, Houdini, Stelka, Loop, etc.
(and they claim to be staunchly anti-cloning?, but betrayed by their arbitrary, corrupt?, and flawed decisions!)

You're right Adam, it is not strange, Komodo is a good engine... It's just that the author would like to see his engine always victorious!Adam Hair wrote:I am certain that a 4/10 result against Komodo 4 can not be claimed to be "strange", even if Vitruvius is actually stronger than Komodo 4. There is an old proverb that says: "For her mom, even the cockroach is beautiful!"
