At any rate, this is some good work you have here. Interested to see the final results.

Thanks George.

You know how much I hate running gauntlets, but it's quite nice to watch the way that Houdini 3 shows its superiority over other engines.

I hope that the amateur engine authors show their support and appreciation of the tournaments you're running.
It can be quite frustrating running some engines through Fritz using the wb2uci adapters, so hopefully you won't let that bug you too much (excuse the pun).

There may be a couple, but I cannot come up with the name of one winboard adapted to Uci that has given me a minute of trouble- loading or running. The only problems installing engines and problems with them have been the strictly UCI engines- and it should be the other way around.

But you do what you can. One thing I think I have learned. 16 engines is too many for ALL RRs. A couple- maybe. Ideally, 12 is good. Most won't understand my reasoning- but I know you do.

I discovered that one of the other CCRL testers is covering Houdini 3 64-bit 4CPU v Stockfish 2.3.1 64-bit 4CPU, Rybka 4.1 64-bit 4CPU and Ivanhoe 9.46h 64-bit 4CPU, so I've pulled those three engines out of my gauntlet and replaced them with Chiron 1.5 64-bit 4CPU, Komodo 3 64-bit and Rybka 2.3.2a 64-bit 4CPU.
