I will try to modify my idea specially for dual core (weak) machines.
It will be an extra version. I hope I manage to do it.
Maybe, I can't be friendly, but let me be useful.

Where can i find Jim's compilation? I prefer 64-bit. On his site is nothing to see. :(

I am of the bad mother. GNU as idea is rather a fiction.

As I promised I prepared a special version for dual core - windows XP users.
It can solve very hard positions (delayed zugzwangs): http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?o0epfey5yyi8gb2
Examples:

[d]n1QBq1k1/5p1p/5KP1/p7/8/8/8/8 w - - bm Bc7;
sting-sf-3-dcxp; 1056M hash; dual core; only 10 minutes (!)

Sorry I missed to add source code of this version  . There are small changes, but if someone want to know it (rather I doubt - "just ignore him"), I will publish it immediatelly.

I think that Sting-sf-3 solves the problem of zugzwangs. Maybe, it is only a question of final shape of my idea.

At the end some difficult example:

Sting-sf-3; 1056M hash; dual-core

Sting needs a page of its own.
costs little time and everything tidy.
You yourself will be happier.

Indeed, I should find a place where there are fewer bookkeepers and more chess players.

I am sure there is interest in your sources Marek. But also many programmers do not want to read to many examples because they want to develop their own ideas first. I have not studied your new Sting yet, I think if you can solve difficult Zugzwangs with it that is certainly worthwhile, especially if you still can do nullmove.

Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first
place. Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you
are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it.

If you run Sting-sf-3 bench, it should return 6450727 nodes.

Source code: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?d3xjiqm6yg3aud6
The compiled binaries seems to have problems with my XP machine.
Does the binaries require other DLL's?
If not, then there seems to be some heap or stack overflow, and maybe contains some malicious code.

I will compile the source on my own if I have time.

Noticed it was compiled using MSVC9.0, so I included the supporting
DLL's msvcp90.dll and msvcr90.dll, but same problem. Binary can't
execute in my XP.

In command prompt it returns: "The system cannot execute the specified
program."

If double-clicked, a msgbox (Fatal Error) is displayed.. red(X) This
application has failed to start because the application configuration is
incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

Other CLI programs are working in my machine, including H1.5 32bit,
crafty 32bit, Hannibal 32bit critter 32bit etc..
