A number of these engines are very close in strength, and I think there is actually some overlap in rating with those from division 2.

It would be a change from your methodology but you might consider running a combined division 2 + division 3 tournament next cycle. I think the results might be interesting.

Hi Jon,

I am always running other tournaments where there is an overlap of divisions, just for that purpose. :)
Take a look at the August Battle 2014 tournament that is currently running.
