I works perfect.
Even if you have Win 10, you need the necessary libraries Redistributable for Visual Studio xxxx. this is only installed once.
If Marek accepts advice should always statically compile the libraries in Visual Studio to avoid this.

I am using Win7, IE.11. (also tried Google Chrome to see if that helped, it did not). Opening the download files with WinZip. I want the 64 version.

I have to say that I have had trouble before sometimes when it comes to downloading anything from Mediafile. No problem , I'm sure I will find a download elsewhere sometime soon.

Same thing happens here with the x64 version, Windows 8.1

Thanks Jose,
If users of Sting-sf-482 need libraries (download and install):

I hope, it may help for user of Windows XP.

This version contains my x64 compilation too.

OK, thanks Marek, here is my result:

Win 7 : both 32 and 64-bit work, on my old E6600 Intel processor, 64-bit is faster by about 27%
Win XP 32-bit : the 32-bit version works fine
Win XP Pro x64 : 32-bit and 64-bit do not work
(despite 64-bit msvcp120.dll and msvcr120.dll being present)

Ernest, I can't do much more, it looks that the win XP don't like Sting.
I think only compilation under XP x64 can help. :?

Frank, I think the version Sting SF 4.8.2 is not good. It means my project is not ready to start your test.

I will prepare the next version 4.8.3 soon and I hope it will be the proper version.

Hi Jose,

On May 22, 2014 you compiled a Sting Microsoft XP version with OLD_LOCKS, called
64exeMICROSOFT_XP\Sting-SF-4.5 w64.exe

Perhaps, if you find the time, you could compile a new one based on Sting-SF-4.81 ?

Note : in Sept 2014, Ricardo Costa also compiled a sting-sf-47-x64.exe version which worked under Win XP Pro x64

Hi Marek,

for me important at the moment only to have it in my ToDo Calendar. On position 7 at the moment. I have to test six others before, so you have many time. If not ready in 6 weeks I can test it later, no problem.

Many work in testing new engines at the moment. So I can do it step by step only.

Good luck ...
And for myself ... later I have your work in my list, thats good. For myself a good example if a programmer say ... based on engine x but I am working on Long time on it and my engine have now an own face. That's what important today. Without to líe and without to silence but using. Here we can find perfect bad examples I don't like. So I am using each chance to give good examples for testing engines.

A perfect example for me and my site.
All ist OK and I am interesting!

Best
Frank
