Interesting. So far, it has scored worse against every engine but Equinox.

The margin for error is very high with the inital phase of any engine tournament. With only 132 rounds complete, you might find variances in performance at the beginning.

I almost didn't test Komodo 9.3 for that reason, but instead decided to test it alongside the latest version of Stockfish at blitz, because Stockfish 6 was so old. In future I'll probably only test every second Komodo release. No use testing something if you can't statistically be sure there is a gain or not.

You make a very good point Ray about the error margins. I am of the opinion that being uncertain or even doubtful of ELO improvement shouldn't necessarily disqualify an engine release of being tested even if it might show negative results. Perhaps the statistics might help capture ideas on how to improve the next release update.
