Another problem is my type- writing as it seems, Syzgys should have been Syzygys and Losomosov Lomonosov. (I for my own like Lomonomorosov mostly :))

Only engine- output accounting my posting above I have here, that's new MateFinder with full Syzygys after slow backward of the main variants in 3 MV- mode:, depth 40, after 30.g3 Ke7:

8/pp2k1pp/4pp2/1P6/8/P2KP1P1/5P1b/2B5 w - - 0 1

Analysis by SF MF110416 64 sse:

1. +/- (1.15): 31.a4 Kd6 32.La3+ Ke5 33.e4 f5 34.Lb2+ Kd6 35.Lxg7 f4 36.g4 f3 37.Lf8+ Ke5 38.Ke3 Kf6 39.Lh6 Lc7 40.Kxf3 a6 41.Lf4 La5 42.Ke2 Kg6 43.f3 h5 44.gxh5+ Kxh5 45.Kd3 axb5 46.axb5 Lb6 47.Kc4 Kg6 48.Le5 Kg5 49.Kd3 Lc5 50.Lg3 Kf6 51.Lb8 Kg5 52.Le5 Lb6 53.Ld6 Kh4 54.Lb8 Lc5

2. +/= (0.65): 31.Ke4 Kd6 32.b6 axb6 33.Kf3 Kd5 34.Ld2 e5 35.Lb4 h5 36.Kg2 Lxg3 37.fxg3 e4 38.Le7 Ke6 39.Ld8 b5 40.Kh3 g5 41.Lb6 Kf5 42.Ld4 Ke6 43.Lc3 Ke7 44.Kg2 Kf7 45.Ld4 Ke6 46.Kf2 Kf7 47.Lb2 Ke6 48.Lc3 Kf5 49.Ld4

3. +/= (0.65): 31.Ke2 Kd6 32.b6 axb6 33.Kf3 Kd5 34.Ld2 e5 35.Lb4 h5 36.Kg2 Lxg3 37.fxg3 e4 38.Kf2 b5 39.Le7 Ke6 40.Lf8 Kf7 41.Lc5 g5 42.Lb6 Ke7 43.Ld4 Ke6 44.Kg2 Ke7 45.Lc5+ Ke6 46.Lb6 Ke7 47.Kf1 Kf7 48.Ld8 Kg7 49.Kf2 Kg6

Thus showing a significant difference in proportion between 31.a4 and the King's moves, even if to be drawn all of these, MF seems to evaluate White's chances with the at once a-pawn-move better.

This isn't so after 30.g3 h5(?):

5k2/pp4p1/4pp2/1P5p/8/P2KP1P1/5P1b/2B5 w - - 0 1

Analysis by SF MF110416 64 sse:

1. +- (1.76): 31.Ke4 a6 32.b6 e5 33.Kf3 Ke8 34.e4 Kd7 35.Le3 Kc6 36.Kg2 Lxg3 37.fxg3 Kb5 38.Lf2 a5 39.Kf3 a4 40.Le3 Kc6 41.Ke2 Kd6 42.Kd3 g6 43.Kc4 f5 44.Kd3 Kc6 45.Lg5 Kd7 46.Lf6 Ke6 47.Lh4 Kd7 48.Lg5 Ke6 49.exf5+ gxf5 50.Ld8 Kf7 51.Ke3 Ke6 52.Lc7 Kf6 53.Kd3 e4+ 54.Kd4

2. +/- (0.82): 31.Ke2 Ke7 32.Kf1 Kd6 33.Kg2 Lxg3 34.b6 axb6 35.fxg3 Kd5 36.Kf3 Kc4 37.Ld2 Kd3 38.Lb4 e5 39.e4 Kd4 40.Lf8 g6 41.Le7 f5 42.Ld6 fxe4+ 43.Ke2 Kd5 44.Lc7 Kd4 45.Ld8 e3 46.Lg5 Ke4 47.Le7 b5 48.Lc5 Kd5 49.Lf8 Ke4 50.Le7 b6 51.Lf8 Kd4 52.Lh6 Kc4 53.Lxe3 e4

Depth 39 as for first one variant, not quite for the second one, probably climbing with eval for this one after completing this iteration too.
So it seems, as for the engine's lines and evals, that there is more time (tempo) for White after 30...h5(?) than after 30...Ke7

Imagine the headlines if Fischer could have drawn with optimal play!

Which pawn is the most accurate to capture:

[d]8/1p2k1p1/pP2pp2/8/8/P3P1P1/3B1bK1/8 b - - 0 7

Capture towards the center | Bad bishop = big pawn :)

[d]8/1p2k1p1/pP2pp2/8/8/P3B1P1/6K1/8 b - - 0 8

[pgn][Event "?"]
[Site "?"]
[Date "????.??.??"]
[Round "?"]
[White "New game"]
[Black "?"]
[Result "*"]
[SetUp "1"]
[FEN "5k2/pp4p1/4pp2/1P5p/8/P2KP1P1/5P1b/2B5 w - - 0 1"]
[PlyCount "13"]

1. Ke4 a6 2. b6 h4 3. Kf3 h3 4. Kg4 Bg1 5. Kxh3 Bxf2 6. Bd2 Ke7 7. Kg2 *

Thanks for finding and bringing.
Wrong I think I was with 30...h5, that's to be drawn still yet too.
Even more I'm not sure now, if the chance for the fortress wouldn't have been living after 31...h4 still.
What if Fisher had played 39...g6 (or ...e5 transposing) instead of ...f5?

30. g3 h5 31. Ke2 h4 32. Kf3 Ke7 33. Kg2 hxg3 34. fxg3 Bxg3 35. Kxg3 Kd6 36. a4 Kd5 37. Ba3 Ke4 38. Bc5 a6 39. b6
[d]8/1p4p1/pP2pp2/2B5/P3k3/4P1K1/8/8 b - - 0 39
39...g6 40. Kg4 e5 41. Be7 Kxe3 42. Bxf6 Kd4 43. Bh4 Kc5 44. a5 Kb5 45. Be1 e4 46. Kf4 Kc6 47. Kxe4 Kd7 48. Ke5 g5 49. Kf5 g4 50. Kxg4 Kc6

Drawn 7some is reached after 50.Kxg4 again
Peter.
