I learn again ...

To Contempt:
I think Komodo don't need any other setting for the moment. I am looking for minutes in the first 740 games I have from my test-run.

It is an massacre never I have seen before. Looking yesterday in a lot of game too. What Komodo do in late middlegame is fantastic ... the others haven't any chance, very very aggressive and often with very short games.

1. Draw under 30 moves ... three games only, 24, 28, 29 moves.
2. Draw under 40 moves ... seven games only

And all of the games are clearly draw games, maybe one of the games not, I have to start an analyse ... interesting position for my opening book.

75% of draw games after move number 103 ... absolutely OK.
Nothing to do for Komodo Team to the topic ... how I can avoid fast draw games vs. weaker engines.

Yes, it's definitively a massacre what I can see here.
Also the move average with 80 is fantastic (without resign-mode).

Maybe the different to Stockfish 7 is 5% lesser draw games. But much more interesting is indeed the very forceful style Komodo is playing. With each new move small advantages undo the point ... the attack to mate starting.

After 742 games ... 4x lost (2 times vs. SF, 1x vs. GullChess, 1x vs. Houdini).

Again ... very tricky will be the situation in games vs. SF. Contempt should be go automatically from 10 to 0. I think with many ponder hits after the first moves ... Komodo view ... engine must be stronger. That is the point ... in my opinion eval or other things are here not important. Ponder hits only for set contempt automatically to 0.

If we have a game ...
Example:
After 30 moves - 10 book moves = 20 moves with an own calculation ... it should be to 75-80% clear that the opponent must be a stronger if we have from 20 moves 15 ore more ponder hits. And Contempt can go automatically to 0. But I am not the programmer and have no idea how you can do it in programming.

Again to Stockfish:

Stockfish have two advantages to Komodo 9.3:
- around 30 Elo better endgame
- in different open positions after book moves a bit more aggressive.

Maybe the endgame advantage is = 0 Elo with Komodo 9.42 ... can see it later in my stats.

Komodo have very big advantages to Stockfish:
Cleary lesser draw Quote vs. weaker opponents. Much more aggressive style in late middlegame! I like the style from Komodo (without all the fast draw games I like the style from Stockfish too).

So I think it should be clear ...
With longer time controls and one core Komodo and Stockfish are not on the same Level. Komodo is light better and it we can see it in a Rating List each engine have many opponents!

Great update ... you do with 9.42.

Komodo is indeed with each 9er version stronger and stronger ... the next version number should be 10. Sorry, must say that ... of couse ... it does not concern me.

I will used Komodo 9.42 for my next opening book as analyse engine number 1. The comments in my new book will be from Komodo and maybe Hakkapellitta and Spark. Stockfish is to draw susceptible. Need here power with many pieces on board and the most aggressive engines we have. Don't need an engine for the information ... how an opening can be ended with draw. Very hard but fact if we compare both.

please have a look on my Rating List end of April 2016 if I am ready with my Agenda. At the moment 12% matches are missing (each one against each other with 56 engines) and we can looking in detail to draw quote from Komodo and Stockfish and other stats.

I am working on it ...
Better my systems are working on it.

Thanks that you are watching my site ... at the moment I need a bit motiviation because I have 30-40 persons daily only on my site and for the work I do is that not enough. I think I am to old for such things and my old html style ... very boring and my English is bad too.

I should try to find a place in an "old computer chess age home". Maybe I should learn to stay mum in questions to Komodo and Stockfish. In all the years never I learn to stay mum.
