Well, I have the same output until "Pondering = on", but not the info line about "tablebases" - instead I get the usual Windows error "Program ... doesn't work anymore".
Maybe this is the problem, or it is compiled with any special CPU options which don't work for me (although I can't believe that, because I have a Core2Duo-CPU and run Windows Vista here).
No idea, Smarthink has always run perfectly in the past ...

Have you tried to place values.txt in the engine directory?
Because I'm previously forget to place it in smt195.zip (now it's fixed).
Engine behavior without values.txt is undetermined...

Frank Quisinsky wrote: 1. Why "Found 0 tablebaes" at first?
I will check it, probably because it tries at first with default path (c:\tablebases).
Is it Arena or other GUI?

Found 0 tablebases.
Found 35 tablebases.

4/06 0:00 +16.96 1.Sf3 Kh7 2.Le6 Kh8 (180) TB:12

2. Why SmarThink will give not a mate information?
The behavior is probably the same as for StockFish. SmarThink uses TBs to filter out bad moves at the root (i.e. if you have winning moves — all drawish and losing will be filtered out and so on). Then it starts regular search if there are more that one winning move. And it will show mate score only if it will see mate by search.

3. Double entries ...
Still no idea. Is it Arena?

Thank you, Wolfgang!

Please use the latest engine archive (with values.txt that was initially missed).

Yes, I've already downloaded the new package, but also the values.txt didn't change anything - it's still crashing.

Is there an ini file for use as a WB engine? Old ini files cannot be used with syzygy.

Major changes:

— Syzygy tablebases support;
— no more Nalimov EGTB support;
— more agressive forward pruning;
— better time management;
— several optimizations;
— further eval tuning.
