Hi Ray,
if you were running the problematic Fire, "OriginalName" would be

OriginalName=Fire 5 x64 popcnt

EngineFile=C:\Engines\Fire 5\Fire 5 x64 popcnt.exe

It is the popcount exe as you can see, but the uci name does not mention popcount when run from the command line. I downloaded the files again today and that is how it is. There is no popcnt in the UCI engine name from the popcount exe.

You are right. ChessGUI got "OriginalName=Fire 5 x64 popcnt" from file name when the engine failed to run on my Intel comp (i7 Haswell).
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.
