The only time I've used those for crazyhouse have been to double up attacks on the king :)

It's weird crazyhouse has come up in the discussion, you know? We struggle in chess to find chess personalities that play mindboggling games, in crazyhouse every single game is full of that, the variant truly lives to its name, like in go, you can't look at a position and know who is winning, queen sacrifices for pawns are commonplace and often the best move, the strongest chess program for crazyhouse is a modified Stockfish, and it's weaker than humans at it, so it's a win-win-win variant.

Perhaps we all should just abandon chess and move to such a chess variant :P
