If I remember (John's mails) the performance on AMD is improved too.
Matches are played both on Intel (Haswell and Skylake) and AMD Ryzen (1700 and 2700). Wasp scores constantly well on both platforms 👍

Thanks very much for testing Wasp! It did a bit better than I expected. I test at very short TC and I think the NN eval benefits more from deeper searches than the hce.

I plan to implement FRC at some point, perhaps for the next version.

Hi John,

I am thinking CEGT have more right as we have.
It seems the strength goes over +90 Elo.

Today I am start working with stats, no more changes in my tourney with engine updates.

At the moment my feeling for the Wasp playing style:
To 95% all looks great.

And yes, FCR support is important.
Thinking on Arena times (first GUI support FRC).
Alfred from DGT send the wish and we powered with many other programmers FRC.
Reinhold Scharnagl was a great supporter at this times and Alfred from DGT.

FRC we do it a long time before the others (Fritz / Shredder).
Alfred wrote me must do it because ChessBase have no interest on it and the Human tourney's in Mainz and Frankfurt are important.
It seems, later Chessbase switched the opinion about FRC (Chess960).

:-)

Best
Frank

We will have a nice tourney.
Sure Wasp go higher in my tourney.
Can be a fight with XiPhos and Schooner, Weiss and Minic and maybe Zahak (very strong engine) for place 17.
XiPhos is in the near!!

Hi Odd-Gunnar,

if GM Sadler found all the nice ideas from Wasp (Material from FCP Tourney-2021 databases for an example) he have a lot to do with such videos. More and more Grandmasters, other strong players found Wasp and like the program by John.

If we are looking on games, aggressiveness with many pieces on board, until move 30, I am very sure that Wasp is on position 1-3 in the World (with Slow and Stockfish).
It seems Revange, Booot and Seer are the big competitions, engines ... absolutely in the near.

Such strengths are very important for opening analzyses.
All of this TOP-6 are very strong in king safty with many pieces on board (OK, in case of Stockfish very clear for all of us). Stockfish is in all parts of the different playing phases TOP.

After FCP Toruney-2022 I know more but in case of Wasp ... the stats will be allways the same.

:-)

Best
Frank

PS: The new book by GM Sadler seems to be fantastic.
I start reading last weak.
