I know it says it somewhere, but what is the hardware of the TCEC superfinal?

The hardware as long as it is equal for both engines does not make much of a difference, but TCEC is known for benefiting the White Side, it would be more fair if the White side can only castle long 0-0-0. If they used good (balanced) opening books, nearly every game between the top 3 engines would end in a draw.. Chess with free choice of opening is virtually analyzed to a draw with engines playing at the level of these 3 at Rapid time controls or longer. It makes little difference whether they use a specific opening book, it's simply that if the book only contains lines that end with just a small White plus, the stronger engine can draw more games with Black than the weaker engine, but at the same time it wins 75% of the times.

If you don't know, don't answer.

I know there would be almost all draws with standard chess. I find it very interesting though that in bad openings one engine can hold and the other cant. That says a lot about the engines.

I was totally wrong :) . SF is going to score 60-65. Total domination! In game 46 SF shuffles 130 moves with one pawn less. And then bang 1-0 after 194 moves. BTW the kibitzer SF has a stronger hardware with 120 threads, but classic evaluation and 7 piece tables. NNUE is up to 200 ELO stronger.

Actually quite amazing to watch !
Why does SF really need these shuffles ?

All 22 decisive games are won by White. At the highest level, it is almost impossible to win with Black unless white tries an inferior opening

Obviously they are won by white if the openings favor white...

I will look into that.
