There is a 6-man endgame after 5.- Bxg6, fxg6. Then, 6-man EGTB says checkmate in 39 moves, this is, a checkmate in 44 moves from the starting position of the problem. Going through your line, 9.- ..., Ke8 is found as suboptimal (lose in 33) instead of 33.- ..., Kf6 (lose in 35), hence the difference of two moves in the DTM metric.

You're right as for DTM after first 5 moves of the output- line, hadn't checked with tbs having DTM- info so far. It's seldom that an output- DTM is too short but of course it can happen now and then too, regards
