Hi Eduard,
I send Mr. Manzo many screenshots and my testing strategy referring to his BUG:
He can't solve the BUG. He asked Khalid for help.
He's simply a bad programmer ... his best skills are copying patches from SF.
I invested many hours of testing and told him that this BUG doesn't exist with Eman.
His answer: USE EMAN.
This tells all about his great programming and testing skills.
Story is now over for me.
regards
Chris

Re: Brainlearn and Shashchess
One last thing to say.
Mr. Manzo thinks his learning code (btw. the learning code is not from him, it is from Kelly with the help from Khalid ... Mr. Manzo wasn't able to this coding by his own) is the best in the world.
Brainlearn's learning code is much worse than the learning code from Khalid.
But he will never ever accept this.

Re: Brainlearn and Shashchess
The fishcooking forum shows that Kelly did indeed come up with the original learning idea, but I truly fixed the code.
There are still posts on the forum that clearly evindicate this.
Now enough of these unjustified insults to those who, by the way, offer, completely free of charge, services, often, not even offered for a fee.
I have written to the administrators and hope they will take action, otherwise I will be forced to take legal action, despite myself.
Indeed, I have irrefutable evidence of the insults to which I have been subjected and which blatantly contradict the netiquette of the forum.
It is one thing to civilly point out possible bugs/suggestions as Eduard did, it is another to directly offend the person.

Re: Brainlearn and Shashchess
To clarify some things for Mr. Manzo.
I have send him many many screenshota about the bug within Brainlearn in combination with using bin books via uci options.
When using this setting the size of the learnfile was not increased.
This is a BUG when he copied the source code without any testing from Polyfish in his own engine source code.
I wrote him that this bug doesn't occur when playing with the latest Eman release.
His kind but as always complete useless and arrogant answer was "then use Eman" ... lol
I got now a complete functional and very stable version from an well known and excellent programmer who fixed the code from Mr. Manzo.
This whole scenario shows that Mr. Manzo wasn't able to fix the problem by himself when he copied the code from Polyfish into his own source code without any testing.
This is not the first time I had to make this experience.
The same happened in the past with "Concurrent Experience". This was not implemented by him.
This all should show the reality when confronting Mr. Manzo with a BUG in his engine.
I stopped all conversation and help with Mr. Manzo. This is my last post for this topic. Everyone should do his own conclusions about this.

Re: Brainlearn and Shashchess
Hello Chris,
ShashChess is unique and absolutely great, also for positional tests. I think Andrea does a great job and we are happy when we get a new ShashChess version. It has been like this for many years. So I don't think it's appropriate to write so bad about him. BUGs will always exist, maybe Andrea implements more improvements before he releases a new version.
You use ChessBase software or not? You play on the Fritz server, or not?
I already posted here many weeks ago that Fritz 18 and CB 16 have a serious Syzygy BUG. The 5 and 6 pieces are displayed wrong by the GUI which leads to unnecessary defeats, but also to wrong analysis with ChessBase 16.
It affects Fritz 18 version 16 as well as CB 16 version 20. After many weeks the BUG is still there, here is a new example from the server. Chessbase is taking all the time in the world to fix the BUG, for weeks we can't play like this. So please Chris, Andrea will surely bring an update soon.
PGN, Detlef Uter played with Fritz 18 version 16, all 6men pieces played from the GUI:

You cannot take "legal action" because you think you got insulted online, that is not how the world works.amchess wrote: ↑Sun Jun 25, 2023 1:06 am Now enough of these unjustified insults to those who, by the way, offer, completely free of charge, services, often, not even offered for a fee.

By the way, offering services free of charge doesn't mean you cannot get insulted because of them, again, that is not how the world works.
Also, your services ARE often offered for free. Most modern chess engines are free and your engines are even based on one of them.

Try simply ignoring them....they go away eventually.
Seriously, if you engage in whatever it might be that drives someone to be negative toward you, they may feed off it...often they keep trying to bait you to come back at them with words like "so, you are going to ignore me" or "you don't have an answer better than that" .
I just 'ended' a post by one of these energy vampires on a chess forum with a quote as to why I would go no futher with him: "Never wrestle with a pig. You will both get dirty and the pig likes it"
NOT saying this in reference to the situation which has you all riled up...but, they are words to live by when it comes to internet forums.

Try contacting the moderators about being insulted.
It's supposed to be a moderated forum.

Normally, I actually ignore insults.
However, I am part of a chess sw house (alpha-chess) and I may have to protect myself.
The overall quality of the forum itself also depends on it.
I have contacted the moderators, but still have not received a response.
Thanks.
