GOOB 1.8.9
https://github.com/Gabrielkaos/ChessEng ... /tag/1.8.9
No strength estimation is given but my quick tests show maybe +700. You don't see such a jump every day.

akimbo v0.4.1 - Final PST-only version:
https://github.com/JacquesRW/akimbo/rel ... 1-pst-only
This is the final PST-only version, as far as I'm aware its the 2nd strongest PST-only engine, pretty distantly behind PeSTO, as shown below.
In self-play it is about 150 elo stronger than v0.4.0, so with any luck it'll be hovering somewhere close to 2900 Blitz.
This is more of a closure release before I make my proper next release (probably reasonably soon), which will have a significantly better evaluation, so please don't be bothered about testing it.

Re: New engine releases & news H2 2023
Some things need quite some time...
13 years after Puca played last time in Olivier Devilles OpenWar tournaments as a private xb program I accidentally found
it 'released' unnoticed by anyone at github(because of no folder description, which is used by github search) around 10 months ago.
Puca 10.9.24 (New) by Shaun Howe (GBR) compiled in 09/2010
https://github.com/shaunihowe/pucachess
https://github.com/shaunihowe/pucachess ... indows.zip
I want to mention that I only found it accidentally, because the author is currently working on a complete rewrite in bitboards
under the name Freda (uci/xb) and this github folder is available since a couple of days with a proper site description
hinting to the late Puca release.
https://github.com/shaunihowe/freda
last participations of Puca:
http://www.open-aurec.com/chesswar/Ches ... 017PSt.htm
http://www.open-aurec.com/chesswar/Open ... stable.htm
Edit: It seems Freda 0.9 was already made a avilable as linux binary.
I had no problems to compile a win binaries (uci + xb).

Re: New engine releases & news H2 2023
Zangdar 2.19.03
Mainly bug fixes, the only notable addition if king attacks in evaluation.
Elo should be around 2900.
For a reason I can't understand at the moment, tournaments with cutechess-cli have to use the option "restart=on".
Binaries can be found at : https://github.com/Carbecq/Zangdar/rele ... g/v2.19.03

Re: New engine releases & news H2 2023
It seems I forgot to inform and upload about a new version of an engine in 02/2023.
Trappist (which was tested in CCRL) was renamed to Blaze later and had a source only release in 02/2023 for Blaze 0.1.
I added the information to the chronology. Engine compilation is available too now.
https://github.com/antaz/blaze
https://rwbc-chess.de/download.htm
Edit: also compiled a bmi2+popcnt binary just today, but noticed it would run here too with the same speed ;)
(which means it uses no advanced hardware instructions anyway)
