The SF developers have now blocked me on Discord in the sf-dev thread. Reason: I am unwanted.
I really only write there twice a year, only when a topic really interests me intensively. Like now. As soon as I typed the sentence, I saw someone (just 5 seconds later) already write an answer. These people don't even think about what is written. They already know every answer in advance. Like SFisGod.

It does seem that way sometimes.
Childish. Sometimes they don't want to hear anything that doesn't follow what they perceive to be the truth and the only truth.
Nevertheless, kudos to them for their amazing achievements and success.

What do you suggest be done instead?Eduard wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 6:14 pm Not only were a few parameters changed in evaluate.cpp, but hundreds of new codes were implemented and 161,000 games were played. And the developers celebrate +1 Elo in Bullet and they praise each other for such ideas and achievements. Critics like me, on the other hand, are ridiculed because they have a logical answer for everything. I have never experienced a positive response to my criticism on Discord. But I have already been insulted. These developers are very arrogant in my opinion. One network developer even calls himself “SFisGod.”
I am also not sure which patch in specific are you referring to in the first sentence, would be great if you could clarify.

There are countless other channels in the server that you can use. You got banned from one of them for misusing it.

They didn't belong there because he had the audacity to make a criticism of Stockfish ?ImNotStockfish wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 8:50 pm There are countless other channels in the server that you can use. You got banned from one of them for misusing it.

You are sure you can read properly? sf-dev is focused on the technical details of development. If you have an idea on how to improve lmr, that’s probably a good place to post. If, on the other hand, you have opinions on how SF isn’t playing as well as it used to (look at Eduard’s posts in this forum for example), then sf-general might be a better place. If you continue to post in sf-dev despite warnings, well, you get what you deserve.Modern Times wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 10:15 pm They didn't belong there because he had the audacity to make a criticism of Stockfish ?
I’ve been banned from the lc0 discord for several years, so I’m quite the expert on this topic.
Fat Titz by Stockfish, the engine with the bodaciously big net. Remember: size matters. If you want to learn more about this engine just google for "Fat Titz".

Very true, SF-General is the better place.

it's pretty simple why he was blocked from that channel, and it's not some conspiracy theoryJoerg Oster wrote: ↑Sun Mar 10, 2024 6:51 am No. He got banned because they didn't like what he was saying.

can you people stop crying about this kind of thing for 10 seconds my *god*
if you have an actual idea on how to improve stockfish, then it's of course welcome. posting cherrypicked test positions and whining about "stockfimsh bad at solve posimtion :((((" is just useless spam in a channel intended for actual development topics
