Thank you Pham for the new version 0.48!

You are doing a lot of work.

I now have Banksia installed on my old laptop too. At first I had a problem because my Windows 10 Home could not find a DLL when starting Banksia > "msvcp140_1.dll". I downloaded one from the Internet and copied it into the Banksia directory (Banksia is not on partition C for me). Then I was able to start Banksia. Maybe you can include this DLL in future versions so that there are no problems.

I am not sure whether I have installed the correct DLL (the download said 64 bit for Windows Vista). My CPU is an "i3 M 370 Core Duo 2.4 GHz" with Windows 10 Home 64 Bit.

Unfortunately I have a problem with the notation window. If I have loaded an analysis engine and then want to play moves forwards or backwards in the notation, the GUI immediately crashes completely. If the engine is not loaded, however, you can move forward or backward in the notation.

Reading the release notes I think that 0.48 still doesn't fix "add new engine"? (Tried with Mac but it says 2000 games added  )

No problem, I still have to wait for some new native engines :)

Thank you,
Statistics are very nice (I will use bars)

Best regards, Alex
It’s fixed. However, if you use an old tournament which has been added games and/or removed games/engines before, the engines in the internal list may be not consistent, affect the new number.

You may try with a new tournament to see the difference
Thank you, my dear chess friend! I try NOW! :)

+1
I like that I can choose which games to play first, so I select always all the games of only one engine at a time, quickly having his ranking. I cannot do that with Arena!
I like that i can customize every colour, font and layout of a superlative graphic UI.
I like that it doesn't restart again and again the same aborted game, like Arena does very often
I like that I can easy fix crashes, repeating the game.
I like that I have nice crosstables together with ELO and tech values about nodes calculated.
I like that I can choose between multiple stats.

...And this only related to what I'm using between huge BSG available features :)

Thanks for the new release. Seems that is is still not possible to make moves within a running on-the-fly analysis.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Paste a fen position to the board with Ctrl-V
2. Start On-the-fly analysis selecting two engines (I tested with RubiChess and Stockfish 14). Both engines calculating on the positions Engine info tab shows pv and score with increasing depth and board shows arrows for the preferred move.
3. Now make an arbitrary move on the board. Engine info stops. Seems that the analysis is stuck or something. I have to stop and restart the On-the-fly analysis to get engines infos back.

Keeping the analysis running while going back and forth in the move list (with variations possible) would (for me) be the most important feature.

Regards, Andreas

Looks like the .json files now are saved without "newline", so it's all just 1 huge long line, which really makes impossible editing.
Is this intentional or a bug?

Hi phhnguyen,
I have started a new tournament from scratch, but seems that crosstables and results are wrong:

6=games 5=score

5=games 5=score

5 & 6 =games 4=score

no draws games reported

Hello mister phhnguyen

This project is getting better and better.
Maybe something for the todo list.
Analyze on the website of TCEC-Chess
additional engines analyze the running game live.
Could this be set up under Banksia too ?
Since I also test weaker engines, that would be
a great feature .

Best regards
and all the best to your family
