99% certain it is not him. I just had a look and the Vishy nick belongs to someone else. His real Nick which is a Gold King with VIP status has no rating as it has not played any games.

If he was going to spy on the engine room he would do it with a nick that would not identify him.

I will ask him about it though!

Ok nice information. So there is another GM that uses a "Vishy" account. I can't remember but the nickname make me think of Vishy and World Champion. I just look at the rank list and it is not in but you surely found it.

Games 2 and 4 clearly demonstrate that Gelfand thinks that he's the underdog in the match.
He seems to be perfectly happy to take fight-less draws with White.

It's difficult for me to admit it,but I totally agree here....

He seems so happy just to get the half point and run away from the chess board as quickly as possible....

With white he must put more pressure and try to win....unfortunately not the case....

It is possible that the a prepared line was something like 14...exd4 15.Rc4 Nc5 16.Bg5 f6 17.Bxh7+ Kxh7 18.Rxd4 fxg5 19.Rxd6 Qe7 20.Re1 based on GM Ram sofer.

It is not forced for black and I am not sure if white wins in this line but my point is that there may be some traps that gelfand prepared and anand did not fall into them.

Interesting line by Ram Sofer. First of all black can play 15...Nf6 instead of Nc5. After 16. Bg5 black can play Qe8 instead of f6. After 20. Re1 white is better but I can not see any way to press home the advantage after say 20...Ne6 21. Re5 Rxf3 22. gxf3 a5.

We all know that Anand is well prepared against this move,but still....
