good plan Graham. B may not go to Bh5. B may go Be6.
In that case White plays e3-e4. Giving White complete
control the 4 middle squares.
h2-h3 drive away the black B and free up the white N and B.

Sending BL back home :) :) :) .

Best.

Hi Gerold,

better might be 11.h3, Be6; 12. Ng5.
The h3 plan I suggested takes the bull by the horns and enables us to get things rolling on the kingside.
I don't think there's much for us on the queenside despite the semi-open b-file.

Cheers,
Graham.

Good plan. However if BL does not play 11....Bh5 then we
need to take a good look again. Opening up on the K side
may leave white to open at this point.
Be nice if BL did move to Bh5.

Best.

Not changing my vote yet. However Bc3 followed by a2-a4
is a very strong line to follow.

Best.

... maybe Bishop would go to d7, then to c6 ?

We have a superior position, with very nice control over the centre.
Only piece we have to bother about is the Knight @ e1. I would propose to transfer it to e3 via c2; indeed we need to play e3-e4. For that, we probably need to force the black's bishop out of g4, because we don't want to have our bishop on f3 after we play e3-e4.

So yeah, I vote for h3.

With about 10 hrs to go we have a tie

Bc3 - Steve, Tano, Matthias
h3 - Gerold, Graham, Andranik

I think one or two more people may come along to vote so let's see what happens :)

Bc3.

* If a4 then Black would blockade the square with Ba5.
* So first play Bc3 then plan a4 - a5 advance. Gaining space on the queen side.
* Of course White shouldn't trade the dark square bishop because it has more scope and it's already batteried along the diagonal as well.

Hi Doctor,

I see that you waited till the game lost its Chess960-specific attributes before you are joining us.
BTW, BigLion is afraid of you
