I think we will resist a quick defeat only with our King on g7 and a pawn on f6.
It's a bargain between a pawn and king safety.

I haven't looked at the rules on Castling. would that move with
rook cancel out the castle.

I haven't looked at the rules on Castling. would that move with
rook cancel out the castle.
We've already moved our king, so we can no longer castle anyway.

it was you who played 9 ... Ke8 as a "unanymous" move for us.
There went our castling rights. Maybe we had no better move, anyway.
