If anyone downloaded this in the lasrt 45min, regrab.

I find stockfish's build options are really spot on for Pi4 64bit armv8 so rebuild with this:
g++ -Wall -Wcast-qual -fno-exceptions -std=c++17 -pedantic -Wextra -Wshadow -DUSE_PTHREADS -DNDEBUG -O3 -DIS_64BIT -DUSE_POPCNT -DUSE_NEON -pthread *.cpp *.c -o clover

News on mame.

Sandro has updated his chessplugin for this massive emulator:
https://github.com/sronco/mame-chessengine
to be in sync with the latest release (0.231) - so in theory and praxis 185 (emulated) dedicated machines can now play against each other under (any?) GUI/chessprogramm (like cutechess-cli) on *nix (windows too I understand) systems (for MacOS see https://formulae.brew.sh/formula/mame)!

Selfplay doesn't need the plugin and is encouraged to improve your chess!

Huge success/gift on Labour Day :-) !

Wonderful project! :)

So is now possible to use dedicated ROM as engines for cutechess Pi4 /Ubuntu ARM64?

Wow! Could you please extract all the hystorical top engines (Task R30, Mephisto Lion, Saitek Risc 2500, Novag Expert, Saitek-Fidelity (Spraklen) Spark, Fidelity Elite Avantagarde A/S, Resurretion 2) and give to me (and to the fans community) the instructions to let play them in an engine tournament on Cutechess for Ubuntu 20.04 ARM64?

Igel 3.0 NNUE (compiled by jshriver) performance on Ubuntu Linux 20.04 ARM64 4CPUs +- 4 mN/s

(Including Pedone 3.0 that works only with Linux on my Mac mini M1 and waiting for MikeB 13.1 and other updated engines)

PS: Clover zip is empty and Zahak doesn't start on Ubuntu Arm64 :(

Hi Alex,

mame231 is compiling; I'll test it (with the plugin and some roms) and then write you or here something. But it's not that hard to have decent fun with these machines (it has worked very well in the "past")... :-)

greetings!

Thank you my chess friend. For me that in 80-90's was a Saitek-Kasparov, Mephisto & Tasc reseller is a nostalgic dream :-)

We could open a new specific topic here...
